A Complete and Utmost Energy Shift Opens the Energy for The New Moon Eclipse

This energy shift happening at this moment is serious, intense and long lasting. The number and the way of the transits happening all at once now is absolutely historic. I am so saddened about the earthquake in Haiti. Yesterday I heard news that a girlfriend of mine from high school passed away suddenly in her home of an apparent sudden heart attack. She was 47 years old. These two incidents are tragedies.

Though tragedies are not all that is happening now. Many people will come to the aid of Haiti. Hundreds will attend the viewing of my friend in Friday and the funeral on Saturday. Hundreds of people will deeply connect, re-connect, hugging each other seeking comfort in their mourning and despair and finding human contact in community.

The New Moon Solar eclipse, happening at 2:08 am EST, Friday, January 15, is making a positive connection to Venus. This is an ideal, extremely positive and powerful time to set our intentions around personal love and manifestation, letting any bitterness or hardness be replaced with the outpouring of a serious kind of love available to us now.

Yesterday my father, who had written to me about my friend who died on Monday, at the end of his email he wrote to me:

"You never know, do you?
Enjoy the day, every minute of it.
Love, Dad"

Do you ever find yourself visualizing a non-narrative moment from your past? I do. I sometimes visualize the space between the stove and the sink where a light was attached to a ceramic tile in the kitchen where I grew up. I used to put my eyes on that space when we sat at the table, not the whole time we ate but it might have been a resting place. I have a string of places like this, like where I sat in front of the fan playing with dolls, the location of my desk in 7th grade study hall, or the pantry part of the kitchen in Providence.

These non-narrative visuals range in size from about 12 inches square to views seen from long distances. This drawing is a medley of parts of favorite places that have gotten stuck in my mind and parts of places I would like to visit, like the Charles River and the Thames River, or the Fort Point Chanel area and Dubai, Key Biscayne and Bodrum Turkey. This is also about how a river can divide a place, like Hamburg / Harburg, Boston / Cambridge and New York / Jersey City.

The moment now as Mercury and Mars are in retrograde and we are between eclipses can be like a non-narrative moment too. With the retrograde energy people, names and places are coming up from the past. The wheel of fate is turning but has not jet turned. We may be in the spot which is where our eyes may rest in the future when we will be in a different place.

Twixt Eclipses

If you feel like you are living in a world of new and psychaedelic symbols recently, remember, we are twixt eclipses, one of two dimensions in the year when the wheel of fate cranks toward one direction or another. This is an excellent time to change course. Even if it seems to be the decision of your subconscious board of directors, take some kind of heed, and keep your hands on the wheel.

This course is about letting go of some aspect of security in favor of aligning with our life purpose here on Earth. I say this because the lunar eclipse (a letting go) on New Years Eve was in the sign of Cancer (security), and the coming solar eclipse (new orientation) will be in the sign Capricorn (life calling).

Pay close attention to the winds and the tides. This is our ship and this is our time.
